How to Get Started

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Here’s what the process looks like to get started:

1. Request an Intake Appointment

Use this link to schedule your first session: amitranopsych.sessionshealth.com. Your therapist will send you relevant intake paperwork to complete prior to your first appointment.

2. Attend Your Intake Session

Your first session with an AEDP therapist (the modality Jamie Amitrano practices) will feel different. Jamie will review your intake paperwork prior to your appointment.

3. Set Up Ongoing Appointments

Most clients begin with weekly sessions, as this consistency supports momentum and growth. If weekly meetings aren’t possible, we can work together to create a schedule that fits your needs (bi-weekly, seasonal, or flexible arrangements).

4. Begin the Work

Therapy is a collaborative process. We’ll track progress, celebrate breakthroughs, and adjust as your needs evolve.
