Emotions Education 101: An In-Person 8-Week Course for Individuals & Couples in Little Rock, AR

Have you ever wished you understood your emotions better?
Or wanted to know how to handle them without feeling overwhelmed?

Emotions Education 101 is an interactive, in-person, small group course designed to help you do just that.

Created by licensed clinical social worker and author Hilary Jacobs Hendel, this program offers a simple, step-by-step approach to understanding emotions: why we have them, how they work, and how they can guide us to making healthier choices.

In this course, you’ll learn practical tools for:

  • Recognizing and naming your emotions in real time

  • Calming anxiety and stress before it takes over

  • Communicating more openly and effectively with others

  • Spending more time grounded, composed, and emotionally regulated

  • Building a more compassionate relationship with yourself

Each week includes short lessons, guided exercises, and open discussions. Whether you attend on your own or with your partner, you’ll gain insights and skills you can starting using right away.

Facilitator: Niko Amitrano, Psy.D.
This course will be led by Dr. Nicholas (“Niko”) R. Amitrano, who holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and specializes in brain-behavior relationships, emotional health, and relational wellbeing. This will enhance the learning experience by allowing you to engage with the content at a deeper, more personal level first and then share any insights or discoveries you had with the group.
